Everyone has a lot of dreams in the world, and they try to achieve them. At this moment I would like to explain about my one and only dream in my life. My name is Thilini Perera. I live in the Geli-Oya area, Kandy district in Sri Lanka. My father was a good teacher. Now he is no more, and my mother is a teacher.
My father worked hard for student's education. He was a primary teacher. He always said that education will help us to improve and achieve life. So, we should learn and, at the same time, everyone should teach another person. When we teach others, we can get a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge. When getting new messages or new information, you are also a good learner.
My father's a lot of students are being in lot of position in various categories. I can remember that moment, I can feel the doctor, engineer, lawyer, principal, education officer, divisional secretary and, of course, teacher. They are the creativity of a good teacher. That is one of the achievements.
and my mother is also a teacher at one of the government schools in our area. She is also sacrificing her life for the student's future life. Nowadays, she teaches secondary students. She is a language teacher and teaches language. I can talk in English very well. My mother guided me to talking and writing in English.
So, every teacher's sacrifice is one of the precious gifts to future leaders. So, I really feel happy about teaching. Teaching is most precious to me. So, that is the reason why I would like to become a teacher. Nowadays, I am preparing for the GCE (A/L) exam. I will sit for the exam in August of 2023. I hope, definitely, I will get the best result in the final examination. If I get the best results, I will definitely choose the teachers' college of education to get the job in teaching. I would like to become a secondary subjects teacher.
Many teachers are not doing their job properly. That is the wrong way. They come to school and get a salary without any output to any students. I have found out that a lot of teachers don't get proper guidance. The government has brought a lot of projects and traffic for every teacher to improve their skills all the time. But, some teachers don't mind this matter.
And, many people think education is one of the ways to earn money quickly. Education is not a business. It is a free service. So, we should understand about this. If I become a teacher in the future, I will definitely give free education to students, because I like the teaching profession. If some people move to another step from my guidance, that is one of the precious moments for me. That is the goal for me. And my parents will be happy about my professional life.
