Ramazan fasting

Ramazan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It's called 'Sawm' in Islam. This month, Muslims are fasting for Almighty Allah. These days, fasting people don't drink, don't eat, don't smoke and do not involve any stupid habits. Muslims follow the five major things in Islam. Fasting is the third pillar in Islam.

Ramadan is a month full of blessings, a month of good deeds, a month of seeking responsibility, a month of getting closer to Allah, a month of opening the gates of heaven and closing the gates of hell, a month of taming the devils, a month with a night more special than a thousand months, a month of liberation from hellfire, the month of the Qur’an. Islamic people believe that this month has many special features as it is the month chosen by Allah to bring this world, the month in which duas are accepted.

The Prophet (Sal) has said that whoever does not do good deeds in this month will lose all good deeds and whoever does not ask Allah for forgiveness in this month will be far away from Allah's grace.

Importance of fasting

It is the Islamic belief that he has prepared paradise in the Hereafter as a reward for those who worship. The act of fasting is quite different from other acts of worship in that it requires sacrifices. Fasting means controlling hunger, thirst, and lust during the day of the month of fasting as one expects goodness from God. It is considered to be done as a form of worship rather than as a ritual. The purpose of fasting is to instill piety.

Piety is fearing Allah, doing what he enjoins and avoiding what He forbids. In Islam, fasting, one should not eat food that is in one's possession even if one is hungry and alone in an unknown place. Do not drink anything even if you are thirsty. Even if there is a desire, it should not be fulfilled.

All praise is due to Allah. He is the rewarder of all worship. Ramadan fasting is characterized by true piety and purity of heart. Being hungry and thirsty alone is not fasting. All other sins should be controlled just as they are controlled. There is no benefit for those who observe this fast as a ritual. It should also be noted that if one is only interested in giving up food and drink without giving up bad words and bad actions, one cannot attain benefit.
Exception to fasting

Fasting is obligatory for all Muslim men and women of puberty. However, the following conditions are exempted from fasting on the basis of certain requirements.

Those who are unable to fast due to old age and chronic illness should feed a poor person in lieu of each fast.

Fasting is not obligatory on the insane, the mentally retarded, and those who are debilitated by age. No food should be given to the poor in lieu of fasting.

If it is an illness that is expected to go away in a few days, it is also permissible to break the fast due to that illness. The missed fasts should be observed after the illness is over.

Travelers are allowed to break their fast. After returning home, the missed fasts should be observed.

It is permissible for a pregnant or lactating woman to break the fast if she fears that the fast may cause her or the child some suffering. After the absence of anxiety, missed fasts should be observed.

Fasting should not be done if menstruation or blood delivery is present. The missed fasts should be observed after the bleeding has stopped.

They are allowed to break the fast to save those in danger of "fire" and drowning. Then observe that fast.
