An annual family trip

I went on an annual family trip to Trincomalee district last week with my family. Trincomalee district is situated in the eastern province of Srilanka. Many of my family members were interested in joining the tour. Therefore, a total of 36 family members joined us on this journey. We hired a bus for this tour.

Last Friday night we left our hometown, Kandy, towards Trincomalee district. It took us 03 hours to drive from Kandy to Tricomalee district. We had rented a house for a week in the Kinniya area of Trincomalee district. We spent the night there.

The next morning, we got up and all the men went to the mosque and prayed. After that, I showered and got ready and went to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. After eating breakfast, we first went to visit Kinniya Bridge. Kinniya Bridge is 396 meters long. We parked our vehicle near the road and walked across the bridge. The bridge was amazing to see. I stood on the kinniya bridge and took a photo. I put these photos on my WhatsApp status. My friends will see the photos of my status.

A few hours passed there. Later, we went to the Kanniya region in Trincomalee district. There are 07 hot water wells. I have read this in textbooks. But, now I am going to see it for the first time. This made me very happy. The water there was very hot.

After that, visit the Sri Lanka Army Museum, Portuguese Fort and Deer Park at Trincomalee. Then they moved towards Marble Beach. There the stones were shining. After bathing, we had lunch there.

Later, in the evening, we went to Muthur, Trincomalee. There we visited the tree where Robert Nocks tree. This is the tree in Sri Lanka's history. I remembered that. We took pictures in front of that tree.

Occasional journeys in life bring happiness to every person's life. We traveled to Nuwara Eliya last year. This time we went there because we wanted to visit the eastern provinces. Apart from Trincomalee, we went to Batticaloa and Ampara.

In Batticaloa we saw Gandhi Park, the Kattankudy heritage Museum and a model mosque like Masjidul Aqsa. Similarly, we visited South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, some Parks and Oluvil Beach in Ampara District.

A lot of experiences were gained on this trip, which lasted 05 days in total. This trip turned out to be an unforgettable and wonderful experience for us. After a 5-day journey, we returned home. In two days the new school term will start. To continue education again.
